CFS Pass New Constitution at AGM

Conservative Future Scotland held a successful Annual General Meeting in Edinburgh on Saturday 10th May 2014, where members voted unanimously to pass a new constitution which will involve our branches far more in our decision making processes.

The new constitution will solve many of the issues that we had with our old constitution, namely the elevation of branch Chairmen to sit on the National Executive and the scrapping of the regional executive bodies which will better our engagement with our members.

We have also established two ordinary member positions which are reserved for individuals who aren't at university and wish to have a more involved role in the activities of the National Executive.

The new constitution also empowers the organisation to hold its own campaigns and propose policy to the senior party.
